Fresh back from vacation, I just had to share some pix!  Went to a new place (for me) - Bald Head Island… just off the coast of North Carolina.  Above, you can see North Carolina ’s oldest standing lighthouse, Old Baldy, right at the mouth of the Cape Fear River… nearly 200 years old!  And if it looks familiar to you, that’s because part of the movie “Weekend at Bernie’s” was filmed here and you see tons of shots of this lighthouse in the film…  

One of the coolest things about Bald Head Island is that there are NO CARS!  No gas stations - nothing.  EVERYONE drives around in Golf Carts… above, you can see me chilin’ in ours fresh back from the one and only grocery store on the island.

I learned something new on vaction, did you know that you can GRILL pizza?  Oh yes you can… and it is DELICIOUS!  Check out one of our masterpieces above…

On the island, there’s a Turtle Conservatory… a HUGE pond filled with tons of turtles of all sizes.  The day we went, there was a GATOR in the pond!  LOOK HOW CLOSE WE GOT TO HIM!!!  He was HUGE!

Of course while we were lounging on the beach and enjoying the sunshine, I didn’t forget about one of my favorite things at home… Q104!!!

One night around dusk, we took a beach walk and saw this storm rolling in.  The weather was perfect every day, and two nights we got rain (thank goodness not during the day!) Obviously this pic was taken one of the nights we got rain…
