“If you can dodge a wrench, you can dodge a ball”
-Patches O’Hoolihan |
|
Remember your middle school years? Converse shoes, friendship bracelets, french cuffed jeans, and overalls with one strap left hanging free! The middle school dance where you showed off your moves to Poison, Naughty by Nature, and slow danced to Boys II Men (that is if you were brave enough to cross the gym line). Were you “Hanging Tough” with New Kids on the Block? Do you remember all the words to “The Fresh Prince of Belair?
Were you the king/queen of kickball in your school? The infamous Dodgeball Champion?? Or did you dodge the balls in fear of getting hit?
Ready for a re-match? Think you could still beat middle schoolers in the infamous Playground games?
Well then it is time to pull out your converse shoes, gym shorts, and sweatbands and test your “old school” skills at the Open Doors Academy First Annual Dodgeball/ Kickball Tournament! |

Got this email from Listener Sue:
MY DAUGHTER JUST GOT THIS FROM A CO-WORKER WHO SAW THIS ON THE NEWS LAST NIGHT..
CAN ANYONE HELP IN THIS CAUSE TO FIND GOOD LOVING HOMES FOR THESE PRECIOUS LITTLE CREATURES
THERE ARE 94 LITTLE KITTENS NEEDING HOMES OR THEY WILL BE PUT TO SLEEP. THAT BREAKS MY HEART. AND FOR ONLY $5 YOU CAN HAVE A FRIEND FOR LIFE.
PLEASE HELP IF YOU CAN OR PASS THIS INFORMATION TO SOMEONE WHO M YOU KNOW WILL HELP AND DO WHATS BEST TO GET THEM SAVED
THANKS YOU ALL FOR THE TIME OUT OF YOUR PRECIOUS DAYS. BUT I AM SO GLAD I VERSED MY SELF WITH THIS STORY.
PLEASE DO HELP IF AND WHERE YOU CAN ..
GOD BLESS YOU ALL!
SUE
(PARMA)
Ashtabula APL has an overflow of kitties! They need to find homes for 94 furry friends in the next two weeks, otherwise they’ll be euthanized. I know it’s far, but here’s the best part: They’re only $5 and they’re already spayed/neutered! I saw this story on the news last night, and it broke my heart. I had to do my part and get the word out there. So if you or anyone else you know is looking for a cuddly companion, please consider heading to the Ashtabula APL in the next two weeks to save some of these poor kitties. The workers at the shelter are desperate to find them homes.Think about it: you would normally pay anywhere between $30-90 to adopt…and sometimes that doesn’t even include them being fixed already.

Hi Jen,
I was wondering if you could tell your listeners about a fundraiser for Cystic Fibrosis that is taking place tomorrow, Thursday, July 10th.
Here is the email I sent out. Can you attach the link for the tickets to your site for people to print?
Thank you so much.
Dee (my nephew is Braeden Delaney and he has CF)

Hi Everyone!
I d like to invite you all to come out to Max & Erma s in Solon on July 10th to support the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation and one of our top Cleveland GREAT STRIDES teams, Team Braeden. This is a fun and tasty way to support our worthy cause!
We all have to eat, right?!? Well, you can feed your family and support the CFF at the Solon Max & Erma s on Thursday, July 10th with the attached flyer& don t forget to bring the flyer!
The more you eat, the more money we will raise, as 20% of each check is donated back to CFF. The fundraiser is all day long, so if you have friends, family and co-workers who want to have lunch, dinner or carry out, send them to Max & Erma s with a printout of the attached flyer. Many thanks in advance from the CFF and Team Braeden for your support and for dining at Max & Erma s on July 10th!
Thank you!
