Although my exchange with him was brief, he was SO nice!  Very personable, shook hands with everyone, said hi… he requested to have hot tea during the interview (it’s always fun to know that stuff, huh?).  I think he really appreciated the mini-paparazzi crew we had created in the halls of Q104!  He walked down the hall high-fiving everyone!

Went to Los Angeles this past weekend to go to the press junket for the new show on TNT - LEVERAGE!  It was so much fun… got to meet the whole cast of the show and even got to watch the first two episodes of the series… it’s GOOD!  Each episode is like a little mini-movie in itself, with an Ocean’s 11 kind of feel to it…

The basic premise of the show? Former insurance investigator Nate Ford and his band of cohorts act as modern-day Robin Hoods, pulling elaborate scams targeted against the greedy and the corrupt.  You can get all the scoop on the TNT website at:  www.tnt.tv

Here’s a quick recap of the weekend…

The hotel we stayed in was called SLS and it’s brand new… kind of funky modern, this pic is actually the back of the elevator - each one had different pix of people in them all around you… a strange but cool experience…

This was the rooftop pool… and possibly the coolest thing I’ve ever seen!  There are little cabanas everywhere with bed-sized lounge chairs, and even loungers in the water as you can see above!  It felt like Alice in Wonderland… big mirrors everywhere, funky weird sculptures… loved it…

On Saturday night, TNT hosted a bowling party with the cast of the show at Lucky Strike Lanes in Hollywood…. this is Christian Kane (he plays Eliot Spencer on the show… you may have also seen him in a bunch of other stuff, including the movie “Just Married” with Ashton Kutcher and Brittany Murphy)

This is Oscar winner Timothy Hutton!  I’d have to say he was the most soft-spoken in the group of the cast, but very nice… I was a bit intimidated to interview such a big star!

After the interviews with the cast on Saturday, we had some free time to check out hot paparazzi spots on Robertson Boulevard… we had lunch at The Ivy, and as we were leaving, we saw this group of paparazzi hangin’ in front of a store!  Of course we raced over to see what all the commotion was, and supposedly Mena Suvari was inside shopping.  We never saw her.  But it was kinda cool to see all of the action happening!

These are the writers and producers of the show.  Usually when we get to do interviews for the station, we meet the cast.  It was super cool to talk to the folks that actually put it all together!

I’ve been an Idol fan for many of the seasons, and only went to the live show the year that Fantasia won.  I am SO GLAD I went last night!  ALL OF THEM are super talented… I swear they must be nervous on TV when they sound “pitchy”… because in real life?  They all sounded flawless!  It was a GREAT show… and our seats were so fantastic that I got some really great up close pix to share!  After the show, I was lucky enough to get to go and meet the crew… see all the pix below.  WOW.  I am still in awe.  I LOVED this experience.

David Cook was so gracious and friendly… took his time and talked to everyone… said we’ll hear his new music in November!

Syesha Mercado… she is so super gorgeous up close!

Michael Johns… his grandmother-in-law was in the audience sitting right behind us!  He says we may hear some new music from him after the first of the year… maybe sooner!

Chikizie was WAY more soft-spoken than I would have imagined!

Jason Castro was SUPER cool… I told him that he should sing “I’m Yours” by Jason Mraz… he said he wished he was the one that recorded it!  So down-to-earth and friendly…

She’s tall!  And MAN can that girl sing!  I had goosebumps…

She was just as sweet as you would imagine…

Paula was right, Archuletta is SUPER SQUEEZEABLE!  I told him that “Crush” won the Now Music Challenge 5 nights in a row on Q104 and he was so excited!  He wanted to know what songs he beat!

This is just perfection… I mean, c’mon now?? DAVID COOK!

Hollywood’s golden couple split in January 2005 under speculation that the actor had turned to Mr. & Mrs Smith co-star Angelina Jolie. “This decision is one of much thoughtful consideration,” Pitt and Aniston said in a statement about their breakup. “We happily remain committed and caring friends with great love and admiration for one another.”

Former Bachelor Matt Grant and the recipient of his most important rose, actress Shayne Lamas, have broken off their engagement after publicly pretending that they were meant to be for two whole months, People reports.

“We tried hard to make it work but we realized that we were both heading in different directions,” the duo said in a statement. “We truly care about each other and will remain close friends.”

Just so long as they don’t have to spend any time with each other, apparently.

The pair had been plagued by reports of trouble in paradise ever since Grant chose Lamas over Chelsea Wanstrath on the season finale of The Bachelor’s 12th season, but each continued to deny that the fact that they were no longer living together or that they were never seen in the same place meant that they weren’t still planning to tie the knot.

“This stuff makes us stronger,” Grant, 27, said last month.

No word yet on whether Lamas, 22, returned the 2.85-carat sparkler her British beau used to seal the deal in May.

Anyway, that makes 10 out of 11 Bachelors (not including the not-ready-for-a-relationship Brad Womack) who have opted out of the matches they made during their stints on the ABC series.

Actress Estelle Getty has died at the age of 84. According to the Associated Press, the Golden Girls star passed away at her home in Los Angeles on Tuesday morning. For the past few years, Getty had been suffering from advanced dementia. She is best known for portraying “Sophia” on the Golden Girls, which ran from 1985 to 1992.
