You’ve probably heard that Carly Smithson (from last season of American Idol) landed a new gig as the lead singer of former band EVANESENCE who will now call themselves “The Fallen”.  Except, they’re getting sued for that name, so they’ve changed it again… scoop HERE

First of all, I can’t BELIEVE I’m blogging about this!  I’ve only seen clips of the show online and read about it in the tabloids… and have always said, “I’m not getting suckered into that hype!”   For some reason, reading about this show that, in my world, kinda popped up out of nowhere irritated me… 

Now don’t get me wrong, it still irritates me, but  it’s actually official now.  I’m suckered into the hype.  Especially after I read some of the “announcement theories” HERE that are just random and entertaining… good for a few chuckles!  You have any ideas on what they’ll announce?  Get irritated by reading so much about the show (I can’t be the only one, right)?  Post your comments here…

Of course they’re the greatest… my friend Donna makes them!  What an artiste!!  ’Stickwit’ makes it’s official debut this weekend at the Clifton Arts and Musicfest… right on Clifton Boulevard between 114th and 117th this Saturday beginning at 10 am.  (for more info on the Clifton Arts and Musicfest event click HERE)

She makes cards, bookmarks, framed art…they’re hand made, unique and super hip!  They definitely make a statement - in fact,  I’ve just sent out a batch of the ‘Thank You’ cards for my bday thank you notes!   Here’s a taste of what she does (and I swear these pix barely do them justice)…  for the full effect, get out to the Clifton Arts Fest and visit her booth this Saturday - I’ll be there replenishing my stock!
