Seriously…  as weird as it is, you gotta give her credit -  I couldn’t even come up with something like this if I tried!  Lady Gaga, in my opinion, is mad cool… always something new and outrageous - and I really dig the music. She definitely grabs your attention, huh?  Would you ever wear a hairstyle this outrageous?  Maybe to a New Year’s Eve Party…????  A Halloween party?

Yep, this is what I did to myself this weekend… since my pre-teen years, I have suffered many-an-injury via curling iron, but NEVER EVER this bad…  I was curling an underneath piece, and as I slid the barrel off of the hair, I ever so gently laid it right above my chest as I struggled to balance it in my hand, and didn’t realize it for a few seconds, hence the massive burn.  It only got worse throughout the day yesterday.  OUCH.   Thank God for aloe…  how have you accidentally injured yourself??

When I was a little girl, I had a HUGE crush on Michael Jackson.  I even wrote him a letter when he took Brooke Shields to the Grammy Awards as his date… (no joke)… I was so devastated!  He couldn’t have a girlfriend!  On weekends we used to go to my parents’ friends house, and they always had the coolest, newest technology…  my dad’s friend Herbie had taped, on his beta VCR, the Motown 25 event where Michael Jackson first did the moonwalk.  I remember getting so excited to go there to watch it over and over again!  I just knew I’d eventually figure out how he did it… wheels on the shoes!  Right?  Nope.  He was just that good.  And the GLOVE?  OMG the glove.  I wanted one just like it sooo badly.  And no matter which one my grandma would buy me, it was never the ‘exact’ one that Michael wore…  he was so cool.  And at that time, in my mind, I swear I was his number one fan.  I always wanted to see him perform live - and I’m so sad that will never happen now.  Rest in peace, Michael Jackson.  You were loved.

I recently did a segment for “That’s Life” on Fox 8 at a store called “Room Service”.  It’s in the Gordon Square Arts District (you know, the hip and upcoming area in the Detroit Shoreway Neighborhood).  While I was there, the owner, Danielle DeBoe told me about “Made in the 216″, an event that she created to highlight how many designers are choosing to stay and build their businesses right here in Cleveland…  super cool, huh?  Support this fantastic event happening this weekend!

According to an email I just got from momlogic.com, here’s the skinny:

Whoa! We didn’t see this coming! The AP is reporting that in their divorce papers, Kate Gosselin claims she and husband Jon have been living “separate and apart” for at least two years. What about their show?!?

Gosselin filed for divorce yesterday, saying in court documents that her 10-year marriage is “irretrievably broken.” She also says the couple hasn’t been able to reach an agreement on how to divide their things — like their homes, etc.

That’s a far cry from the family people have welcomed into their homes on their hit TLC show “Jon and Kate Plus 8″ — portraying themselves as a happy couple. Remember the wedding vow renewal in Hawaii?? What a joke!

By allowing cameras to film their lives and the lives of their eight children, the Gosselins reportedly receive $75,000 an episode from the network. The show is in its fifth season.
